Almost all loft spaces can be converted into bedrooms, studios or hobby rooms. Even the smallest loft can be made into very usefull storage space. Larger lofts can be converted into bedrooms with en-suite shower and toilet facilities. Access is almost always possible by a normal staircase, often built above the existing staircase. Alternatively, a staircase can sometimes be built between two bedrooms with access from the landing.
